Volunteers

Ashwood Community Resource

Ashwood Community Resource is extremely grateful to the great number of volunteers who serve in many ways at the centre to ensure it is managed effectively. We have over 70 volunteers who give up their time each week to help run projects, clean and maintain the centre and be part of the management structure of the organisation. Without the help of so many volunteers we would certainly not be able to achieve everything we do each year.

We understand that time is very precious to a lot of people with different working styles and family life pressures, so we are thankful to local people giving up some of their time to help others at the Ashwood Centre. A number of volunteers have gone on training courses to assist in their role as a volunteer at the Ashwood Centre.

If you would like to find out more information about being a volunteer please contact our Centre Manager on 01623 758974 or email info@ashcom.org.uk

It is a great place to learn something new, meet new people and give something back to the community.

New policies for volunteers

ACR has two new policies. One for the use of mobile phones whilst driving and one for complying with the new law on a total ban of smoking in buildings. Please read them when convenient, and refer to them for future reference.

Cleaners required at the centre

Due to a couple of cleaners leaving the volunteer force at the Ashwood Centre, we have a few places waiting to be filled for willing volunteers who could give up a small amount of time once a month to help clean the centre. Jobs range from cleaning carpets, the toilets, two kitchens etc. We would love to hear from you, if you think this is something you could get involved with.

If you would like to offer to help please contact our Centre Manager on 01623 758974 or info@ashcom.org.uk
