Volunteers

Ashwood Community Resource

Ashwood Community Resource is extremely grateful to the great number of volunteers who serve in many ways at the centre to ensure it is managed effectively. We have over 60 volunteers who give up their time each week to help run projects, clean and maintain the centre and be part of the management structure of the organisation. Without the help of so many volunteers we would certainly not be able to achieve everything we do each year.

We understand that time is very precious to a lot of people with different working styles and family life pressures, so we are thankful to local people giving up some of their time to help others at the Ashwood Centre. A number of volunteers have gone on training courses to assist in their role as a volunteer at the Ashwood Centre.

Types of volunteering available

  • Cleaning
  • Centre Maintenance
  • Painting
  • Childrens Work
  • After school Clubs

If you would like to find out more information about being a volunteer please contact our Centre Manager on 01623 758974 or email info@ashcom.org.uk

I have been coming to the toddler group for over a year, and I love it. I am now volunteering in the group which has given me so much confdence. I never thought I could run a session using a puppet to deliver a story to the children, it was great.

Cleaners required at the centre

Due to a couple of cleaners leaving the volunteer force at the Ashwood Centre, we have a few places waiting to be filled for willing volunteers who could give up a small amount of time once a month to help clean the centre. Jobs range from cleaning carpets, the toilets, two kitchens etc. We would love to hear from you, if you think this is something you could get involved with.

If you would like to offer to help please contact our Centre Manager on 01623 758974 or info@ashcom.org.uk
